Guilherme’s career goal is to solve problems faced by farmers and stakeholders, making agriculture more efficient, profitable, and sustainable. Currently, as a PhD Candidate at the University of Guelph and Scholar at the Arrell Food Institute, his research focuses on the reproduction, health, nutrition, and genetics of dairy cattle, with the aim of supporting decision-making on the farm and the development of new technologies by the industry.
Over his career, Guilherme’s had acquired experience in designing research trials, performing statistical analyses, conducting literature reviews, and managing datasets collected from sensor-based technologies. Additionally, he has experience with handling livestock animals for specific experimental procedures including uterine flushing for embryo recovery and follicular aspiration, and executing laboratorial analyses related to transcriptomics and lipidomics.
