Alhussein is a PhD researcher at the Royal Veterinary College in London, UK. His PhD research focuses on the evaluation and comparison of treatments used for intestinal disease in pigs. These treatments include: antibiotics, vaccines, prebiotics, probiotics, macroalgae, plant extracts, dietary fibre and bacteriophages. These treatments are compared in terms of their costs, efficacy and regulatory compliance.
With regards to his previous experience, his BSc (at the University of Exeter) and MSc (at the University of Oxford), involved business, product, policy and statistical analysis.
Through this role, he aims to contribute to the success of human/animal health products, especially in relation to product development and regulation.
