Dr. Paul Dick brings over 35 years of expertise in the animal health industry, with significant achievements in product development, regulatory affairs, business development, and commercialization. He has held leadership positions across a range of organizations, including Elanco Animal Health, where he served in various management roles in the areas of R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Corporate Affairs and Business Development. Dr. Dick also became the Chief Operating Officer of Naturagen, an Elanco Apollo satellite company initiative focused on acquiring and commercializing natural health products for food animals, successfully leading global teams and managing multiple complex projects Dr. Dick has extensive regulatory experience, having worked closely with Health Canada’s Veterinary Drugs Directorate and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency on numerous regulatory submissions. He was a member of Health Canada's Animal Antimicrobial Resistance Advisory Committee and instrumental in establishing the Veterinary Drugs Directorate's Veterinary Health Product Notification Program.
His regulatory accomplishments include securing approvals for pivotal animal health products, substantial contributions to strategic technical marketing programs, and business development including investor and corporate partnering, and co-development and licensing agreements. He has authored peer-reviewed publications and served in advisory and board roles, including as Director of the Canadian Animal Health Institute, President of the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association and a number of corporate and other association boards. His career reflects a consistent focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, product development and regulatory excellence, and the application of new products and services to the animal health and veterinary medicine communities.
