Nirmala Chinnappareddy (BVSc, MVSc, PhD), a Veterinarian and Pharmacologist, has more than 8 years of experience in academia and pharmaceutical industry developing animal models, designing and monitoring of efficacy, exploratory and PK/PD studies to support discovery and development of therapeutic drugs/bioactive molecules in inflammation, CNS, CVS, skin health, sport nutrition and metabolic disorders. Dr. Chinnappareddy has her education from Bangalore Veterinary College, India.
She has her post-doctoral research trainings from biomedical research groups at Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph and Atlantic Veterinary College, University of PEI. She has trained several researchers and graduate students and co-authored many research papers in peer-reviewed journals. She completed a certificate course in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs and has a very good knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory directives and regulatory submission.
As a Scientific Affairs Coordinator with Paul Dick and Associates for PEI region, she will be coordinating with PDA client owned research projects in PEI and Atlantic Canada. In addition she will also be working towards the completion of market assessments for new animal and human health products, development of global regulatory strategies. Her responsibilities also include creation of an expedited Canadian regulatory plan to include the conduct of pre-submission meetings, filling various dossiers, submission management and regulatory communications etc.
Dr. Nirmala Chinnappareddy
